PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland police arrested a man Thursday accused of pulling the trigger in a gang shooting.

Pedro Martinez, 21, was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges including attempted murder and attempted robbery.

Investigators believe he shot a 51-year-old man in the back in the parking lot of Northgate Park Monday night.

The victim survived the shooting.

Officers were flagged down at North McKenna Avenue and Lombard Street on Thursday regarding a suspect in the shooting.

Officers spotted Martinez and they said he ran away into a neighborhood. He was eventually tracked down and arrested.

Police said they also recovered a handgun from the area where they found him.

Additional charges against Martinez include being a felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon, menacing and violating his probation.
