ROSEBURG, OR (KPTV) -
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is investigating an escape from the county jail in Roseburg.
Thomas Ivan Grimes was discovered missing from his cell during a routine check at about 6 a.m. on Friday.
Investigators are working to determine when and how Grimes was able to get out.
Grimes was being held in on several warrants including attempt to elude, unauthorized use of a vehicle, reckless driving, recklessly endangering and possession of a stolen vehicle.
He is also being held on a warrant out of Lane County and a Lane County Parole Board hold.
Grimes is described as 5'8", 150 pounds, with a shaved head and hazel eyes.
He was last seen wearing a white, sleeveless T-shirt and dark jeans.
If anyone has information as to his whereabouts or believes they have seen Grimes they should contact 911.
Do not attempt to approach Grimes because he is considered to be dangerous.
