BEAVERTON, OR (KPTV) -
Two women are hurt after a car crashed into a Beaverton Taco Bell.
According to Beaverton Police, the 85-year-old female driver crashed into the Taco Bell at SW Hall and SW Scholls Ferry Road around 3:30 p.m.
Police said the elderly driver stopped too far into the nearby intersection, started to back up and hit the front of another car.
Both of the cars pulled into the Taco Bell parking lot to exchange information, but that's when the elderly driver crashed into the fast-food restaurant, police said.
Fire officials said the car went into the building about a foot and a half and damaged the structural integrity of the building.
One customer suffered a bump on the head and a second person suffered some minor cuts to her face from the broken glass.
Both were taken to a local hospital.
The 85-year-old driver was not hurt in the crash, and she could not tell police whether she accidentally hit the gas rather than the brake or if there was a mechanical malfunction with the car.
Police have not issued any citations pending the outcome of the investigation.
The restaurant was shut down on Saturday afternoon.
