Vandals hit four TriMet bus shelters overnight

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

TriMet is offering a $1,000 reward for information about four bus shelters that were vandalized between Sunday night and Monday morning.

Three shelters on Southeast Powell Boulevard at the intersections of 24th, 26th and 34th avenues were targeted for the fourth time so far this year. TriMet said those shelters will most likely be repaired with metal panels rather than installing replacement glass. A shelter at Southeast 58th and Foster was also vandalized.

TriMet said more than 70 bus shelters have been targeted by vandals since February, costing the agency more than $36,000 in repairs. They think these latest incidents are probably connected to previous vandalism.

TriMet is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of those responsible. If you know anything, you're asked to call TriMet or the police.
