SPOKANE, WA (KPTV) -
Family, friends and colleagues are mourning the death of a soldier from Spokane, WA.
According to The Department of Defense, Jarrod A. Lallier, 20, was killed Wednesday in Zharay, Kandahar province, Afghanistan.
The military said Lallier was fatally wounded when individuals in Afghan police uniforms targeted their weapons at his unit.
Lallier was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division out of Fort Bragg, NC.
