It's becoming more and more common to see Pacific Northwest landmarks in TV shows and movies -- Portland's list of silver and small screen credentials is growing: Untraceable, Gone, Leverage and Portlandia, just to name a few.
And let's not forget Twilight.
"I think they help put us on the map a little bit, in the bigger picture in the future and what not. And ever since having television shows come here, it's really picked up a lot," Eryn Goodman of Cast Iron Studios said.
"We have so many kinds of locations. You can shoot ocean, you can shoot the desert, you can shoot the Gorge, you can shoot the city, we can look like a lot of different places which is fantastic," she explained.
And that could be why MTV is possibly thinking of putting its next season of The Real World here.
"I think they should do it! It would be something new, just different. Why not? They need to go to Voodoo Doughnuts and the waterfront," Portland resident Shalaya Coleman said.
While there's a lot of arguments on just how real The Real World is, the show's popularity is indisputable.
The show is about to debut its 27th season in the Virgin Islands, making it the longest running show in MTV history.
And if its next stop is Portland, industry experts say it would be a good thing statewide.
"The more that is generated here, the more comes here which I think is great for production, great for the state, the industry and everyone who not only works in production jobs, but the state as a whole because it all definitely trickles down," Goodman said.
