BEAVERTON, OR (KPTV) -
If you notice some attention-starved orangutans or crabby cougars at the Oregon Zoo, it might be because many viewers are not looking at the animals at all. It's because of a new game set up by zoo officials this spring.
It is called geo-caching and it is similar to an outdoor treasure hunt.
Players use their GPS gadgets to search for hidden containers. There are four of them spread out around the zoo in various locations.
Each zoo cache is a small locked box with a logbook inside. Its GPS location and lock combination are posted on geocaching.com for players to find and use to open the cache.
