Jeffrey Locker pleads guilty to manslaughter

GRESHAM, OR (KPTV) -

A man accused of murdering a 1-year-old girl has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.

Jeffrey Locker pleaded guilty to manslaughter Thursday in the death of his girlfriend's daughter last August.

The murder charge was dropped as part of his plea deal.

Locker told police that Brooklin Saechao fell in the bathtub and hit her head.

Doctors say the injuries weren't consistent with that version of events.

Locker is set to be back in court for his sentencing on July 23.
