WOODBURN, OR (KPTV) -

Oregon State Police said 29-year old Monica Barnhart was injured Thursday afternoon when the car she was driving collided with an SUV.

Police reports indicate that Barnhart was northbound on South Meridian Road and came to a stop at the stop sign with Highway 211. As an eastbound commercial truck pulling a semitrailer passed through the intersection, Barnhart's car began to pull across Highway 211.

Barnhart failed to see a westbound SUV and crashed into its left-front driver side. After impact, the SUV traveled off the highway and rolled over in a field. Fifty-seven-year old Terry McMahan was riding in the front of the SUV and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported by ambulance to Silverton Hospital.

The SUV's driver, Tara Staley, age 32, from Grand Ronde, and her two minor passengers were not injured. All involved occupants were using safety restraints.

A baby calf named "Big Mac" was being transported in an enclosed cage in the back of the SUV and was unharmed.

Highway 211 was closed in both directions for about 45 minutes during the incident.  OSP troopers from the Portland Area Command office are investigating the crash. The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, the Woodburn Fire Department and ODOT also assisted at the scene.
