EAGLE CREEK, OR (KPTV) -
A report of a fire ended with an Eagle Creek man getting arrested after a standoff with sheriff's deputies.
Someone called 911 to report the fire at a pump house near a home on Southeast Judd Road near Leinan Road just after 10 p.m. Saturday morning.
Dispatchers notified the Clackamas County Sheriff's office as well as the Boring Fire Department.
That's because the home had been "caution flagged" after the owner of the house reportedly threatened, earlier in the week, to shoot police if they came on to his property after he learned that he had multiple warrants.
Deputies arrested Gary Hulse, 71, without incident after a standoff that lasted about an hour.
Husle will face 24 counts of first-degree criminal mistreatment. Those charges related to a reported patter of financial crimes against his mother, who is now dead.
He's being held in the Clackamas County Jail on $500,000 bail.
Boring Fire checked on the fire at the pump house and found that someone already put it out.
