LONGVIEW, WA (KPTV) -
A four-hour standoff involving a Longview man who barricaded himself inside a home ended Sunday night when the man finally surrendered, the Longview Police Department said.
Investigators said the standoff began at about 7:30 p.m. when officers were called to a house on 18th Avenue to investigate a report of domestic violence.
According to police, the man did not have any hostages, but officers were told that he may have been armed.
As a precaution, neighboring homes were evacuated as a SWAT team was called in and officers negotiated with the man.
At approximately 11:15 p.m. the man surrendered without incident, and was taken to a local hospital.
