SALEM, OR (KPTV/AP) -
Police arrested six people in a protest involving environmental groups at the Oregon State Capitol building in Salem on Monday.
Three demonstrators chained themselves together Monday in the office of Secretary of State Kate Brown, and two others did the same in State Treasurer Ted Wheeler's office.

They remained in the lobbies of both offices four hours later, along with several dozen other demonstrators whose songs and chants echoed through the building.
Wheeler, Brown and Gov. John Kitzhaber make up the State Land Board, which angered environmentalists last year with a plan to increase logging in the Elliott State Forest. The plan is projected to increase the annual timber harvest by 20 million board feet per year and boost school funding by $3 million to $5 million annually.
At about 2:20 p.m., a state worker told the protesters they would be arrested if they didn't leave. Four of the five refused to leave and were arrested.
In addition, two people who climbed flag poles outside the east and west side of the State Capitol to display homemade banners were taken into custody.
