BEAVERTON, OR (KPTV) -
A former clown pleaded guilty to sex abuse Tuesday and received a 12 1/2-year prison sentence.
William Dunlop must register as a sex offender after he is released. His plea deal involved pleading guilty to two counts of first-degree sex abuse. Other counts were dropped.
Dunlop, who is from Beaverton, not only worked in the past as a clown, but also as a school bus driver.
State troopers and deputies arrested him back in September on sex abuse and sodomy charges after the victim, an underage girl at the time, reported sex abuse during the late 1990s and into 2002. The victim is now in her early 20s.
Dunlop worked as a clown in the St. Helens, St. Johns and Beaverton area, but the abuse did not happen on the job, authorities said.
