16-month-old child recovering after falling from window

OREGON CITY, OR (KPTV) -

A 16-month-old child is recovering after falling from a second story window.

The accident happened at a home along Marjorie Lane in Oregon City shortly before 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

Clackamas firefighters said the child was playing on a bunk bed that was pushed up against the window. The screen inside the window gave way and the child fell about 20 feet before landing in a bush.

First responders took the victim to Doernbecher Children's Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
