Tidewater, Oregon -

Crews rushed four people to the hospital after a head-on crash on Highway 34 near Tidewater.

Oregon State Police said David Juenke was driving his truck east on Highway 34 near milepost 16 when he crossed the center line and hit a car nearly head-on.

Troopers said Juenke and a passenger in the other car, 9-year-old Katelyn Carlson, suffered serious injuries in the crash.

Carlson was riding with James and Jane Szabo, who were also taken to the hospital.

Troopers said Juenke was not wearing his seatbelt and had revoked driving privileges in Oregon.

They said alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash for Juenke.
