One man in custody after deadly stabbing in SW Portland

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Police are investigating a deadly stabbing in southwest Portland.

It happened just after 7 p.m. Wednesday in the 5900 block of Southwest Shattuck Road.

Police have not released the name of the victim, only saying he was a man in his 20s.

Officers took a 19-year-old man into custody in connection with the stabbing.

The two men were involved in some sort of confrontation, according to police, and the victim ran to a nearby house after the stabbing. That's where he died.

Shattuck Road was blocked off for several hours while police investigated the scene.
