PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
Firefighters rescued a man trapped under a minivan in northwest Portland early this morning.
It happened around 5 a.m. on NW Alderview Road.
When emergency crews arrived, they found a man in his 20s pinned beneath the van.
They then used the Jaws of Life tool and wood blocks to jack the van up off of the man. Firefighters were then able to
slide him out onto a waiting gurney.
Paramedics took him to Emanuel Hospital, where he's being treated for serious injuries.
There's no word on how the man ended up trapped in the first place.
His name has not been released.
