PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
A drive-by shooting in the area of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard wasn't gang-related, but rather a domestic violence incident, police said.
Elbert Phillips, 48, is accused of firing several gunshots from his car, possibly at another car that had his wife inside.
Officers responded to MLK Boulevard and Fremont Street in northeast Portland at about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday after getting reports of shots being fired. Witnesses told them a small, dark-colored car sped away east on Fremont Street.
Police later arrested Phillips on two counts of unlawful use of a weapon and one count of reckless endangerment.
There were no injuries or property damage reported in the shooting.
Investigators said Phillips and his wife are suffering some "marital discord" in their relationship.
