Tara Gordon of Redding, CAWOODBURN, OR (KPTV) -
Oregon State Police have released the name of the young woman whose body was found just off Interstate 5 north of Woodburn early Friday morning.
After notifying family members, police identified the woman as Tara Elizabeth Gordon, age 25, of Redding, California.
Gordon's identity was realized late Friday night following a tip from another law enforcement agency. Notification of family members took place earlier today.
Investigators are still trying to figure out if there was a crime committed in association with her death. A medical examiner determined that she died of head trauma.
No information has been released regarding how she may have wound up on the side of the freeway.
Several reports started coming in at about 5:17 a.m. Friday after the woman's body was seen off the shoulder of the freeway just north of Woodburn.
In the hours that followed, police received dozens of tips, but initially, none of them led them to positively identify her.
