PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
Transit police arrested a man accused of punching a TriMet driver when she asked for his bus fare.
A TriMet spokesperson said Thomas Dunford tried to get on Line 9 Wednesday afternoon at SE Milwaukie Avenue and Powell Boulevard.
The driver reported that Dunford got upset after she requested his fare and started yelling before hitting her in the shoulder.
Other riders kept him at the scene until police arrived and arrested Dunford for felony assault.
The bus driver took the rest of the day off.
