PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
It looks like another big piece of debris from the tsunami in Japan could be on a collision course with the Pacific Northwest coastline.
A boat with Japanese writing on it was spotted about 1,800 miles off the coast.
According to reports from the Western Fishboat Owners Association, it is 30 to 40 feet long and 15 feet wide.
About half of the boat is bobbing above the water.
A rope is attached to it and it extends out about 20 feet. Witnesses said a large school of Dorado fish also seems to be accompanying the boat on its journey.
The boat was spotted on Wednesday by a ship sailing to Alaska.
A new hotline to report debris on the Oregon coast launched on Friday. If you find anything that appears to have washed ashore from the tsunami in Japan, simply dial 211 to report it.
