A man accused of robbing two Vancouver banks and leading authorities on a chase that ended in Portland appeared in Multnomah County court Friday morning.
Brent Woodall pleaded not guilty to one count of third-degree robbery and two counts of attempting to elude. Despite his not guilty plea, a plea change hearing has been requested for Monday, July 2.
Prosecutors said Woodall robbed two Vancouver banks on June 20 before leading authorities on a chase. He is also accused of one attempted carjacking and one successful carjacking in Vancouver during the chase.
Woodall was arrested after abandoning the allegedly stolen car in north Portland.
If Woodall decides not to change his plea, his trial for alleged crimes in Oregon will begin on Aug 10.
