PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
A Portland man spoke to FOX 12 on Monday about the terrifying night when two men broke in to his home and opened fire.
It's been nearly two months since Shaun Lazenby was attacked, but he is still recovering from his wounds.
He has difficulty talking after taking a bullet to the side of his face.
Portland police said on Saturday, May 5, two men broke into Lazenby's home, all while surveillance cameras were rolling.
Lazenby said they forced him to the ground then bound his hands together with zip ties.
They then started taking cash, jewelry and other items from the home.
As the men started to leave, Lazenby managed to break free, grabbed an ax and chased after them.
That' when one of the men shot him in the head.
"The bullet went through my lower cheek, came out the back of my neck. When I was hit, I went down hard. I was just - it was more blood than I've ever seen in my life," Lazenby said.
Crimestoppers is offering a $1,000 reward to anyone with information leading to an arrest in this case.
