WOODBURN, OR (KPTV) -
Woodburn police said Tuesday that a wanted man accused of punching a woman hit and kicked officers during his arrest.
On June 22, Woodburn police officers responded to a report that a man was punching a woman. When officers arrived they attempted to arrest Anthony Linebaugh, who they learned was also wanted in Marion County on burglary and theft charges.
According to Woodburn PD, Linebaugh began fighting with officers when they attempted to arrest him. Authorities said that Linebaugh and the officers fell to the ground and continued to struggle until other Woodburn officers arrived to assist.
Linebaugh was successfully taken into custody, but police said that he continued to resist, and even damaged a patrol car, before he was released to Marion County Jail staff.
Linebaugh faces charges of resisting arrest, assaulting a public safety officer, harassment and criminal mischief.
