SEASIDE, OR (KPTV) -
The big attraction this week on the Oregon Coast isn't the seals or sea lions, but a big elk who took a stroll down the Seaside Promenade on Wednesday.
Beachcombers said the elk showed up in Seaside earlier this week and has been wandering around town ever since.
A woman who is vacationing in a nearby beach home said the elk is fun to watch, but not everyone is being so nice to him.
"There's some silly boys trying to chase him out. They chased him out one way and he ran and came back cause there's nowhere for him to go. He's been perched out in the same place pretty much all day," said tourist Amie Richardson.
Wildlife officials are urging people to stay away from the elk because wild animals can be unpredictable. They said they don't want anyone getting hurt.
