CANNON BEACH, OR (KPTV) -
Cannon Beach fire and rescue crews had to rush to the aid of a surfer near Haystack Rock Thursday evening.
Rescue crews say the man became too tired to help himself get back to shore and out of the water.
One Cannon Beach firefighter grabbed the surfer by the hand. Crews used a jet ski and slowly pulled the man and his surfboard back to shore.
Paramedics then took the surfer to Seaside Hospital to be checked out.
There is no word on his condition.
