Crews investigating Vancouver apartment fire

VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

Investigators are looking for the cause of an apartment fire in Vancouver.

The fire started just after 5 a.m. Sunday at the complex on U street near East Mill Plain.

Crews say the fire started on the balcony of an upper level apartment and moved to the inside.

Firefighters were able to contain the blaze to one unit.

They got several reports of hearing a loud noise before the fire.

The only person in the apartment was able to get out safely and no one was hurt.
