It's shaping up to be another beautiful, warm Portland day, so how about a free Slurpee to cool you down?
7-Eleven is celebrating its 85th birthday with free Slurpees at participating stores. Anyone can get a free 7.11-ounce Slurpee drink from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
7-Eleven expects to give away 7 million free Slurpee drinks across the country. As part of the promotion, it's also remembering its first store, which opened in a Dallas suburb in 1927. There are now 9,300 7-Eleven stores in North America.
