ALOHA, OR (KPTV) -

Washington County Sheriff's deputies responded to a robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank located at 3435 Southwest 182nd Ave. in Aloha on Wednesday afternoon.

Deputies said a woman entered the bank and demanded money from a teller. The teller complied with the demand, and the suspect fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Sheriff's deputies surrounded the area within a couple of minutes and searched for the suspect and an older, silver Honda Accord that may have been involved.

The bank robber was described as a white female adult, 40 to 50 years old, with a thin build and standing at about 5'4" tall. The suspect was reportedly wearing a baggy gray sweatshirt and carrying a red purse. The suspect's most unusual identifying feature was a black ball cap with large white "FBI" lettering on the front.

Deputies said there are similarities between this robbery and the robbery Tuesday of the U.S. Bank, which is about eight blocks away. It is not known if the two incidents are related. No one was injured in either of the incidents.

Detectives are seeking the public's help regarding this case. If you have any information, please call the Washington County Sheriff's Office at 503-846-2500.
