AURORA, OR (KPTV) -
A motorcycle crash off Highway 99 Wednesday evening left 71-year-old Maurice Champ in critical condition.
The Oregon City man was riding a 2007 Rewaco three-wheel motorcycle about a mile north of Aurora when the accident occurred.
The motorcycle veered to the right off of the highway, where it hit a highway sign then came to a stop upside down in berry bushes.
Champ was treated by Aurora and Canby Fire District at the scene before he was taken by LifeFlight to Oregon Health and Sciences University.
Although Champ was wearing a protective helmet, OHSU says he is in critical condition Thursday morning.
Oregon State Police is still investigating the cause of the crash.
