Salem Police Department tries new crime fighting tool - KPTV - FOX 12

The Salem Police Department added a new feature to its website in hopes of collaborating with the Salem community to fight crime.
"Can You ID Me?" is an online feature that provides a method for investigators to post photographs of unidentified individuals that might be recognized by people in the community.
The website is not only for suspects, it may also include photographs of unidentified witnesses who may be crucial to solving a crime.
Each photograph has its own link, so if someone can identify them, they can send an email straight to the investigator working on the case.
The photographs will be continuously updated to reflect positive identifications.
Due to the increasing use of video equipment by businesses, the Salem Police Department believes "Can You ID Me?" will be a useful tool in keeping their community safe.
