PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
The father of a man shot and killed by police in northeast Portland believes he has proof that officers were wrong to open fire.
Keaton Otis shot a Portland police officer during a traffic stop in May 2010.
Officers returned fire, killing Otis, but the man's father, Fred Bryant, has photos of his deceased son with bullet wounds to the hands.
Bryant said that proves Otis had his hands up, making it unlikely that the 25-year-old had a gun, and police shot him anyway.
Bryant told Fox 12, "My son is innocent, he's innocent ... When someone says, 'I have my hands up,' and you shoot them anyway, that's murder."
A grand jury cleared the officers involved of any wrongdoing.
Otis' father has an attorney who is asking for an appeal.
