SALEM, OR (KPTV) -

A Utah woman who disappeared while on her way to visit relatives in Salem has been found safe, Oregon State Police said.

Sherryl Boatman's family said she left Salt Lake City on Wednesday on a Greyhound bus.

They contacted investigators Monday when she failed to arrive in Salem as scheduled. Boatman's relatives told police that they last heard from the 63-year-old four days earlier when she called from Portland.

According to investigators, someone found her cell phone Friday about four miles from the bus station at NW Front Avenue and NW Kittridge Avenue.

After police issued an alert to media, Boatman was found safe and taken to a Portland-area hospital for a medical evaluation.
