Portland Police investigate two armed robberies

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Investigators are trying to determine if two armed robberies in NE Portland are related. Both crimes happened within about a half-hour of each other early Tuesday morning.

The first occurred on NE 43^rd and Fremont. A man pulled a gun on the victim while an accomplice robbed him. The other occurred about a mile away on NE 50^th and Sandy. Three men robbed another victim at gunpoint.

Police searched the area around the second robbery and found a pellet gun that may have been used in one of the muggings.
