Pretrial hearing today for Yashanee Vaughn murder suspect

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The young man accused of killing Portland teen Yashanee Vaughn is expected back in court Friday.

Parrish Bennette, 17, is accused of shooting and killing Vaughn back in March, 2011.

Her body was found hidden at Rocky Butte in Northeast Portland after a four-month search.

Bennette was scheduled for a pretrial hearing Friday morning. He, his lawyers and the prosecuting attorneys were expected at court starting at 9 a.m.

Bennette's trial is expected to start in October.
