GRESHAM, OR (KPTV) -

The manager of a Gresham storage facility made a grisly discovery over the weekend.

Police said he found a woman's body inside one of the units.

Officers responded to Money Saver Mini Storage at 19215 NE Halsey after the manager opened a storage unit because a foul odor was coming from the area.

Inside the unit, a decomposed body was found, police said.

An autopsy identified the body as that of Anisa Marie Swearingen, 18, of Portland who had been reported missing to the Portland Police Bureau on July 18.

Her cause of death is under investigation.

As the investigation continues, police are asking anyone who believes they saw Swearingen around the time she was reported missing to call the Gresham Police Tip Line at 503-618-2719.

She is described as a white woman with brown hair and eyes standing 4'11" tall and weighing 115 pounds.

Police said she had several tattoos including musical notes on her neck and the name "Shiloh" on the back of her neck, and tattoos on her right hand.

She was wearing blue jeans and a tan sweater when she was last seen alive, investigators told FOX 12.
