Employees at a Burgerville helped police catch a robbery suspect.
Portland police say the attempted robbery happened around 6:40 p.m. Monday at the Burgerville on Southeast 25th Avenue.
Police say 31-year-old Dewayne Taylor went into the Burgerville and ordered a drink. While the register was open, he reached in and grabbed a handful of money and took off.
Employees chased after Taylor and held him until police arrived.
Police say Taylor did punch one of the Burgerville employees in the face.
Taylor was booked into the Multnomah County Jail for robbery in the third degree and two outstanding warrants.
