PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
A fire at a southeast Portland apartment complex caused upward of $15,000 in damage Tuesday morning.
Witnesses called 911 at 10 a.m. after seeing heavy, black smoke billowing from a storage room at the Tam O'Shanter Apartments at 4496 S.E. Boardman Ave.
Firefighters were able to put out the fire and prevent it from spreading to any homes.
People living in the adjacent apartments were temporarily evacuated while firefighters were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation and early damage estimates are $12,000 to $15,000.
