SEASIDE, OR (KPTV) -
A 16-year-old boy was rescued after a 60-foot fall near Seaside.
Rescue crews were called out to Thompson Falls at around 4:30 p.m. Monday.
The teen had fallen and landed at the base of another 40-foot rock face. The rough terrain and dense foliage made it extremely difficult to reach him.
Once firefighters were able to get to him, the Clatsop County Sheriff's Office high angle rescue team raised the teen and the rescue workers up to safety.
The 16-year-old was taken to Portland Legacy Emanuel Hospital on Life Flight.
He suffered broken ribs, a broken pelvis, fractured spine and a partially collapsed lung. He was listed in fair condition Tuesday.
