It's been nine years since Robert Patton resigned as principal of Sherwood High School.
His career collapsed in 2003 when he admitted to having child porn and having sex with a 16-year-old boy he met online.
He literally collapsed when the judge ordered him to jail.
Now, Patton faces two new charges: encouraging child sex abuse and sex abuse.
Court documents say the abuse happened last summer when Patton got into bed with a 12-year-old boy and encouraged him to perform sexual acts.
Documents also say a witness saw Patton kissing the boy.
Patton was arrested last Wednesday for the alleged crime.
We went to Patton's Milwaukie home today, but no one answered the door.
Neighbors tell us they've seen a lot of police activity recently surrounding his home.
"It's just despicable. You think you know your neighbors, but they could be anybody behind closed doors," Andrew Koek Koek, who lives nearby, said.
It's not clear how Patton knew the victim or where the alleged abuse happened.
But documents show two other men may have been involved.
Victor Gonzales-Sanchez and Kelvin Leon-Morales both face sex abuse charges against the same 12-year-old victim.
"The fact that he wasn't checked up on later and he could do something like that again is unnerving," Koek Koek said.
Gonzalez-Sanchez and Leon-Morales are awaiting transfer from the Washington County Jail to Multnomah County where they will be arraigned at the end of the month.
Patton is being held at the Multnomah County Jail on a total of $700,000 bail.
His trial is set to begin Aug. 13.
