ASHLAND, OR (KPTV) -
A traffic stop led Oregon State Police to 55 pounds of cocaine near Ashland.
Troopers pulled over a Nissan Altima on Interstate 5 for a traffic violation south of Ashland Tuesday morning.
A drug-sniffing dog helped lead them to 25 individual packages of cocaine hidden inside the car.
Troopers arrested the driver, Hipolito Carrillo, 41, of Ontario, California.
They booked Carrillo into the Jackson County jail on suspicion of unlawful possession as well as unlawful possession, distribution and manufacturing of cocaine.
Investigators estimate the seized cocaine's value at $875,000.
Troopers released two passengers: an elderly woman and an underage boy.
