PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
A Portland 13-year-old joined KPTV reporters to cover Pres. Barack Obama's visit Tuesday, a year after his own sit down interview with Obama.
Jacob Schroeder, a kid reporter for Kids For Scholastic, was one of two kids selected to interview the president at the White House last summer.
The economy, education and the Constitution were topics Schroeder questioned the President on, an opportunity few journalists experience.
Among the crowd of reporters, Schroeder described the audience reaction to the president's visit.
"He definitely revved up the crowd. The crowd loved him, and were very enthusiastic. In fact, right before he got on stage they were all chanting 'four more years,'" he said.
Despite Schroeder's reporting success at a young age, he said he will keep his career options open. Schroeder is also interested in a career as a lawyer or a business owner.
