PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
A popular Portland gelato shop that shut down back in January is open once again, with a new name and a much larger menu.
The former Mio Gelato location on Northwest 11th Street in the Pearl District is now Morso.
Owner Bob Lightman says Oregon's weather makes it tough to keep a gelato-only shop open year-round.
Lightman transformed his business into a full restaurant with an accomplished Italian chef. It's a casual Italian cafe with beer and wine, and it is open seven days a week.
The Bridgeport Mio Gelato has also been transformed into a Morso location.
