Man hit over the head with hammer in NE Portland

Portland police are looking for man suspected of hitting another man on the head with a hammer.

It happened Wednesday around 6:30 p.m. near Northeast 13th and Schuyler.

Police said a man and woman were arguing, and that's when a stranger came up to them and asked them to stop. The man then took out a hammer and hit the man who was arguing over the head and then took off.

The victim is in the hospital and is expected to be OK.
