MILWAUKIE, OR (KPTV) -

Deputies have arrested a man accused of killing a woman in an Oak Grove apartment.

Daniel Seale, 27, now faces a murder charges in the death of Michelle Walker, along with a charge of unlawful use of a weapon.

Detectives said Seale confessed to murdering Walker inside her Roethe Road apartment on July 6th.

Her body was found later that weekend after the woman's mother called 911 to report something suspicious at her daughter's apartment.

"My husband is innocent," said a woman who declined to be identified but told Fox 12 she's Seale's wife. "It's being pinned on somebody who didn't have any motive, when there's other people out there who do have motive."

Detectives still aren't commenting on motive or releasing how Walker was killed.

"They're trying to say that they have evidence that pins him to the case," Seale's wife said.

Seale and Walker are described as acquaintances, according to deputies.   His wife told Fox 12 Seale and Walker have known each other for years, and they were talking about renting a spare room from Walker.

"She had a good heart," said Walker's neighbor Jenel Tattooed. "I'm going to miss her kindness. She was always so sweet, real giving and helpful."

Neighbors at the small and close-knit complex where the murder occurred said they were relieved to finally hear news of an arrest.

"I feel there's justice for Michelle," said Tattooed.

Seale is being held without bail. Fox 12 found he has a conviction earlier this year in Benton County for encouraging child sex abuse, after police said they found child porn on his computer.  Other past charges include felony burglary and theft, according to court records.

Detective say their confident they have the only person responsible for the murder.  While they're not looking for additional suspects, they are still asking for information on the case and crime.
