PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
Police now have a name to match the bank robbery suspect known as the "bling bandit" for committing multiple armed robberies in the Portland area.
Ivory Joe Watkins, 37, was taken into custody by Portland Police Bureau robbery detectives on Wednesday for parole violation. Federal bank robbery charges against Watkins are pending in U.S. District Court.
According to Portland police, further investigation including a fingerprint left at the scene and the execution of a search warrant, identified Ivory Joe Watkins as the suspect.
The three bank robberies occurred within four months with the "bling bandit" robbing the same U.S. bank twice on April 26 and July 16 as well as a Wells Fargo bank on June 29.
