
A fight between two homeless men in southeast Portland ended when one of them was stabbed with a sickle.
Police were called to the scene at Southeast Second and Oak Street at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
One man approached the other and asked for drugs, according to police.
When the request was denied, the first man pulled out a sickle and asked for drugs again.
The second man then stole the sickle and stabbed the other man.
He suffered life-threatening injuries.
Police said the man who used the sickle was also hurt during the altercation.
