Stolen vehicle located in Portland

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Late Thursday night Portland police located the unoccupied stolen Hyundai Elantra that belongs to an 84-year-old Eugene woman who was assaulted by an outstanding suspect when he broke into her home early Tuesday morning.

Investigators say the woman lives alone and woke up to the suspect choking her. He proceeded to physically and sexually assault her, then left in her vehicle around 4 a.m.

According to officers, the suspect is a white male, described as having a slender non-muscular build and is approximately 5'10" to 6' in height.

The victim's vehicle is a 2007 dark blue Hyundai Elentra with an Oregon license plate of 922 DKD.

Investigators from the Portland Police Bureau are working with Eugene police to process the vehicle for evidence.

Detectives are asking the public for their assistance in catching the suspect by submitting tips and information to Detective Ben Hall at 541.682.5835.
