MULINO, OR (KPTV) -
A man is on the run after leading deputies on a chase through Mulino.
The chase started just after 6:30 a.m. Sunday morning on Highway 213 near South Eldorado Road.
A deputy tried to pull a Kia Sorrento over for driving erratically when the driver sped off.
Deputies said at one point the driver put the SUV into reverse and rammed a patrol car.
The pursuit continued down several roads in the Mulino area until the driver crashed down a 30- to 40-foot embankment on South Pike Road and took off on foot.
Clackamas County deputies used a canine unit to try to track the man down but were unable to find him.
Deputies later determined that the SUV was reported stolen out of Salem.
Investigators also said they found evidence that the driver, and possible passenger, were committing burglaries.
The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is seeking tips and information regarding this case.
