PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A man and woman interrupted a robbery in their northeast Portland home Monday morning.

The teenage robber broke into the house on NE Rose Parkway through an unlocked kitchen window around 1 a.m.

The married couple, who did not want to be identified, said the robber stole around $120 in cash, two credit cards and an iPhone. He was in the process of going through a laptop bag in the family room when the woman woke up.

She found the robber trying to hide by a couch in the family room and confronted him before calling for her husband for help. They said the teen tried to escape through a front door and another window before the man confronted him. When the robber pulled out a knife and threatened him, the couple unlocked a back door and let him out through the garage.

The woman has a minor cut on her arm from the confrontation.

The couple said the robber was Asian and appeared to be around 15 years old. He was 5' tall with a slender build and was wearing a bright yellow T-shirt and jeans.
